As with my Elephant Close Up 2, this photo was taken in Thanda Game Reserve (South Africa) when we had a beautiful encounter with a heard of elephants at dusk.
This female elephant just stopped and stared at us. With the sunset glow highlighting the textures of her skin, I could not resist doing this painting.
