On the Playground

Portrait of one of my nephews, Wiets running on the playground. This was such a beautiful photo that had to become a painting. I choose to keep the background almost completely white so that the painting had a child-like lightness to it, and also thought it would create a sense of detachment and freedom. The happiness on this little face is so uplifting!
